If you notice that the top door is leaking smoke, then we recommend that you let the
appliance go out then clean it thoroughly. This includes the heat exchanger tubes, if
this hasn't been done recently (3 months). Please do not attempt to move the door hinges.
- If you are still struggling please contact us.
There a few reasons why this is happening;
1 - Wet wood is being used, we recommend a moisture between 15 - 20%.
Excessive moisture in the combustion process prevents the blower from gasifying.
2 - Another reason may be a blockage caused by excessive ash building up
somewhere between the loading chamber and the flue outlet. We would recommend
letting the blower go out and then completing a full clean.
3 - The final and less common cause is user related and stems from too much
attention being given to the blower whilst running. You should only need to go to the
blower every couple of hours. Entering the blower too often will exacerbate the
problems further interfering with the combustion process.
Yes, we would recommend that you fully clean and service the blower yearly to
ensure correct operation. Please note that the blower will need new fire bricks and
nozzles at certain times due to these being wearable items.
It is important that the first 2 services are carried out by a qualified technician and
recorded in your warranty card provided to ensure your warranty remains valid.
We recommend that you let the blower go out once a week so that you're able to do
a weekly clean. A visual inspection of ash build up should be carried to prevent
issues like them mentioned out. Every 3 months we recommend you visually inspect
the heat exchange tubes and flue, cleaning when necessary.
You can get all replacement parts directly from us and we will always try and
